Early Life and Family Legacy

Gracelyn "Gracie" Hunt was born on March 29, 1999, in Dallas, Texas. She is the eldest child of Clark Hunt, CEO and co-owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Tavia Shackles Hunt, a former Miss Kansas USA. Gracie's lineage is deeply rooted in American football history; her grandfather, Lamar Hunt, was instrumental in founding both the American Football League and Major League Soccer. Growing up in a household that valued sports, faith, and philanthropy, Gracie was encouraged to pursue diverse interests from a young age. ​

Education and Academic Pursuits

Gracie attended Southern Methodist University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Management and Broadcast Journalism. She furthered her education by obtaining a master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Kansas. Her academic background has been instrumental in her roles within the Kansas City Chiefs organization, particularly in public relations and brand development. ​

Transition from Athletics to Pageantry

Initially passionate about soccer, Gracie played competitively during her youth. However, after suffering four concussions, she had to step away from the sport. Seeking a new avenue to channel her competitive spirit, Gracie turned to pageantry. With guidance from her mother, she achieved significant success, winning titles such as Miss Texas Teen International in 2016 and 2018, and Miss Kansas USA in 2021. She was also a semifinalist in the Miss USA 2021 competition. ​

Modeling and Media Presence

Gracie's accomplishments in pageantry opened doors to modeling opportunities. In March 2023, she graced the cover of Maxim magazine, where she discussed her philanthropic endeavors and personal interests. Her Instagram account, @graciehunt, boasts over 700,000 followers, where she shares content related to fashion, sports, and lifestyle. 

Philanthropy and Advocacy

A dedicated philanthropist, Gracie founded "Breaking Barriers Through Sports" in 2016, aiming to empower individuals through athletic opportunities. She has organized sports clinics in countries like Zambia, South Africa, Russia, and Brazil. Additionally, Gracie serves as a Global Ambassador for the Special Olympics, promoting inclusion and respect worldwide. ​

Health and Wellness Initiatives

Living with celiac disease since childhood, Gracie developed a keen interest in health and nutrition. She obtained certifications in nutrition and personal training, emphasizing the importance of wellness in her public engagements. In 2022, she completed two full marathons and two half marathons, showcasing her commitment to fitness. ​

Role within the Kansas City Chiefs

Beyond her modeling and philanthropic work, Gracie plays an active role in the Kansas City Chiefs organization. She contributes to public relations, marketing, and brand development efforts. Gracie also participates in the Chiefs Women's Organization, engaging in community service projects and supporting various charitable causes.

Gracie has been linked romantically to former college football quarterback Cody Keith. The couple has been seen attending events together and sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media. ​
